ABOUT ME
I began my career at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where I was a Trustee Scholarship recipient.
I have always sought out ways to infuse my world view into my artistic work. As a producer and assistant directer, I oversaw the casting of a woman, the award-winning actress Meg Pryor, as "Shylock" in a production of The Merchant of Venice... more or less to see what would happen to the text. The play had a limited run at the church-turned-nightclub The Limelight to mixed reviews, as it was devised within the space, almost theater-as-installation.
As I developed as a creator, I wrote a play called Social Work, which was subsequently produced in New York by Tony Award®-winning producers Anna Roberts & Alan Ostroff. Since then, my writing interests have skewed towards larger and larger audiences. I've written, developed, and pitched three original TV series, adapted two novels for the screen, and been commissioned to write for Cannes Lions Award winning director Vincent Laforet. I am currently writing two feature films with my long-time collaborator George Ellzey, Jr. (Cottage Grove), as well as heading up Development in-house at Cottage Grove Productions. I also work as a script consultant, helping writers hone their vision, up their stakes, find their McGuffins. (Feel free to reach out via LinkdIn for info.)
Thankfully, for Film & Television I am represented by Lee Goldberg in New York.
